"...there is nothing new under the sun." - Ecclesiastes 1:9
It sounds cliche but the more I think about my life the more I realise that Solomon was right.
No Matter how hard we try to be original, no matter how much we strive to be different there will always have been someone that did it sooner or better.
For all the times I have felt like I'm doing something unique or important there is always an experience up ahead that helps me to be humble, reminding me that I have more to learn.
For all the striving after originality and uniqueness I discovered something important. The times in life I have been happiest are learning to understand more about what's right in front of me.
Not looking for ways to be different or finding a way of getting ahead, just spending time with the people I love, looking back on the times dearest to me. Taking pleasure in the quiet moments and simple things that make us all glad to be alive.
Maybe it's time we started to look more at the people and things we have grown to love and stop trying to break new ground; trying to reinvent the wheel
Do something wonderful with the situation you have.
Character and relationship are everything.
New is overrated.
